4.12.2011 Finnish Winner Last day of Winner show weekend. Hiro was again in Bluepepper's group and it was BOB-breeder. Congratulations to Marjo Ahola, once again fantastic year and big Thank You for letting us have Hiro! In the afternoon it was time for Finnish Championship final in junior handling. All 20 part competition winners entered the ring and Ansa seemed to enjoy her time with Peppi. Final was judged by Camilla Tell-Collinge from Sweden. They did great job and now we can turn oud heads to year 2012.

3.12.2011 Helsinki Winner Traditional ending for this year in Helsinki international shows. Hiro placed 4th in champion class and was in Bluepepper's group which was BOB-breeder and was shortlisted to top 8 in BIS-breeder finals. Peppi and Ansa continued competing in junior handling as they took part in last qualifying competition to Finnish Championship final. There were 31 competitors in her group (45 in older age group) and their judge was Rikard Hagström from Sweden and I managed to catch last rounds before five placers from younger age group were selected. We truly had ants in our pants when 8 girls were left and they had to exchange dogs. I had tears of joy in my eyes when Peppi was announced to be one of the five to be placed. After nervous hours it was time for the finals, 5 selected handlers from younger age group entered the final ring with huge applause. Some single patterns and some with pairs and 5th got her rosette, so had 4th and 3rd... 2 girls were left and finally after few rounds Peppi had won!!! More nervous waiting while older age group winner was selected and the two winners competed against eachother. The got Great Danes as jokerdogs and when they got their own dogs back, you could feel the audience waiting for judge's decision. And he did it, he gave the red rosette to Peppi!!! She had won her first qualification to Finnish Championship final! I felt like a fairytale and we couldn't stop smiling. Absolutely amazing...

2.12.2011 Best Of The Best As Peppi won North Karelia districk championship with Ansa, she got invited to competition for all the 19 winners. Peppi competed with Ansa and they did nice job representing North Karelia.

5.-6.11.2011 Tarto International,
Estonia 2 cars, 8 persons, 7 dogs and few funny days. We took a trip to Estonia to attend two international shows. Hiro was BM 4th on both days with res-CACIB. Bluepepper's had BOB-breedergroup on both days and went BIS-breeder on Saturday and BIS 3 breeder on Sunday. Congratulations to Simo's BIS-veteran, Ketqu's BIS4-junior and Asta's 3rd place in junior handling. And thank you Saija, Pekka, Paavo, Marjo, Maritsa, Asta and Marjatta for the trip! |

9.10.2011 Peppi and Ansa have had a great year! 5 placements in official junior handling competitions - including the North Karelia District Championship - and some in unofficials as well. In picture below you can see the beautiful and talented couple with their trophies.

4.9.2011 Muurame FCI 3 & 10 Our last summer show and amazing landscape from showarea! Just perfect way to say goodbye for summer and hello to fall. Our judge was Leni Finne from Finland and she placed Hiro as best male 2nd and Duuri best male 3rd. It was Ansa's name day and also Ansa's day in the ring! She ended her year as Best Of Breed! Peppi took part in Junior Handling and with Ansa she placed second!

28.8.2011 Luumäki FCI 3 & 5 & 6 Warm day in nice little group show. And nice results as well. 22 aussies were judged by Juha Putkonen from Finland and Duuri was BOS and BOS-veteran, Ansa best bitch 3rd. Huge congratulations to Dandies "Sulo" and "Onni" who had wonderful day!

21.8.2011 Heinola all breed Again Peppi and Ansa got success in Junior Handling, their judge was Susanna Häggblom who has won third place in Finnish Championship final during her career. And what a great news we got! Peppi was placed as second out of 19 competitors. Wow. Photos © Lea Pelkonen

14.8.2011 Joensuu all breed Second day and a pair of sunburned ears for me (usually this happens alredy in May...) Antonio di Lorenzo from Italy judged aussies and today was also great for us. Hiro was BOS and totally fell in love with the BOB-winner female... Even the judge noticed that when it was time to take pictures. Ansa was best bitch 2nd and Duuri again BOB-veteran. Junior handlers were judged by Danish Brigitte Thielemann and Peppi got in third place with Ansa. They really work well together!

13.8.2011 Joensuu International Hometown show and wait, what? No rain? Really? Yippee! Our judge today was Petru Muntean from Romania and the results were just great: Ansa BOB wit CACIB, Hiro best male 3rd and Duuri BOB-veteran! Terrier group was also judged by Mr. Muntean and Ansa surprised us as she was awarded with second place! Duuri was also shortlisted in BIS-veteran competition. WOW. In junior handling Peppi and Ansa did their best and won the North-Carelia district championship under Harry Vella from Malta! Super result as she was the youngest in competition.

7.8.2011 Kuopio International Funny and successful day in nearly-hometown-show. 18 aussies were judged by August de Wilde from Belgium and boys did well! Hiro was best male 2nd and gained one more CACIB and Duuri was best male 4th. Hiro also took part in Bluepepper's breeder class which was BIS-3 breeder at the end of the day! Peppi competed with Ansa in junior handling and they were on 4th place out of 18 younger group competitors! Junior handlers were judged by Saija Juutilainen from Finland.

10.7.2011 Hyvinkää all breed We got the whole gang with us and what a day we had! Hiro won the males and Duuri was best male 3rd and BOS-veteran. And like that wasn't enough, Ansa was best bitch 2nd and Hippa (Jaskarin Hippa, owned by Seija & Alex Halme) best bitch 1st! She was also BOB-veteran and finally finished her Finnish Championship title! So Hiro took his first BOB and Hippa ended BOS. Our judge was Anna Brankovic from Serbia. At the end of the day we got little more excitement in the group finals as Hiro was first shortlisted and finally placed as Best In Group 2nd! Terrier group was also judged by Anna Brankovic. Thank you all for such an amazing day! It was great fun to share it with "team Halme."

3.7.2011 Juva all breed 28 Aussies judged by Australian Diane Fenton. Duuri got excellent with CQ and was BOS-veteran. A very hot hot hot showday!

2.6.2011 Match Show Ansa started her new career - as a junior handling dog. Peppi Pelkonen competed with Ansa for the first time and they did marvellous job as they were on the 3rd place out of 12 competitors! Wow, especially because they met an hour before the ring started and Ansa really seemed to enjoy her time with Peppi. Maybe we'll see them together on some other competition as well.

28.5.2011 Varkaus all breed Well, we had weather that explains why Finns dislike their "spring" it rains, shines, rains, RAINS... oh, and rains again! Luckily during Aussie's breed judging it shined. Our judge was Andrew Brace from UK and Hiro was second in champion class with excellent and CQ, Ansa was best bitch 3rd. Hiro also took part in Bluepepper's breeder class which was BIS-3 breeder. 1.5.2011 Match Show Like every other year, we attended to traditional May Day's match show. So we wore winter clothes (in May!) and went to the show, all three dogs took part in classes. Ansa was 3rd in open class with red ribbon. Hiro won blue ribbon open class and was BIS-2! Duuri won veterans with red ribbon and was BIS-5! There were 10 dogs in both BIS-competitions.

27.2.2011 ATC Winter Show Short trip to Lahti and Aussie's unofficial club show. 38 aussies entered to jugde-trainee Saija Juutilainen's ring. Hiro was 4th in open class, Duuri the veteran ended best male 4th and Ansa won the open class and finally was best bitch 2nd. Mom and I also attended Senior Handler competition in which we even had to change dogs, felt like junior handling again. Finally she took the first place and I was behind her as second. Arne Halme took part in Child and Dog competition with Ansa and they were 3rd. I also handled Jaskarin Hippa who was second in open bitches. Now it's time for little showbreak and see you in spring!

20.2.2011 Tuusniemi FCI 3/10 & 9 How surprising, -30°C again and we're heading to the show... Luckily the hall was covered by sunshine all day so inside was almost summer-feeling. Our boys were under the judgement of Marja Talvitie and today Hiro was best male 3rd and Duuri best male 2nd and BOB-veteran. Super congratulations to Marjo and Päivi for Tööt's championship!

16.1.2011 Ilomantsi FCI 3 & 5 What a beginning for our year 2011, -30°C and we were lucky that our car started. 12 aussies were entered to Finnish Soile Bister's ring. Grand old Duuri CH Tatong's King Cobra re-started his showcareer in veteran class and did it well. Duuri's result was best male 4th and BOB-veteran. Hiro was best male 3rd so both our boys started show year with best male placements. Ansa arranged supersurprise for us by being BOB and finally ended Best In Group 2nd!!! Hiro also took part in Bluepepper's group which was BIS-1 breeder. Thank you mom, Marjo, Jaana, Marjatta, Marja and everyone else for such a fun day!
